I guess its DC vs. Marvel today, lol. Below is the trailer for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Here we find Johnny Blaze played by Nicholas Cage on a journey to save a young boy from Satin himself. Did I mention this flick will be available in 3D? 3D films are awesome and all, but I don’t know if I’d want to see a flaming skull and chains flying towards me while I’m trying to drink a slushee. Normally I don’t go for movies that spin and toy with God/church/the Devil but this movie seems cool. From what I can remember about the first Ghost Rider, he wanted to save his father’s life so he promised his soul to the Devil. Upon signing his agreement with the Prince of Darkness his father was killed in a freak motorcycle accident and his tenure with the Devil started. Now we find Ghost Rider making another deal; this time with a Priest (or some sort of religious/church figure, its hard to tell in the trailer). If he saves this boy’s soul from the Devil, his curse will be lifted. This film looks like it will be pulling out all the stops when it comes to preaching to angels and dancing with the Devil; sort of like a Marvel comic meets The Da Vinci Code meets Constantine.
Just a random proverb that I think is fitting to the film and topic, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”.
